If you can feel someone losing interest in you, do not dwell on it. Do not question yourself, and don’t you dare attempt to change who you are to fit their standards. You would be giving away the one thing in life that you can actually control. If someone loses interest in you, tell them it’s their loss. One day you’ll believe it, I promise. If someone tells you that they find you boring, redefine what it means. Make “boring” mean “super unique and passionate person who is too good for you anyway”. Make it mean “the one who got away”, “the one who is doing just fine without you”, “the one you will compare all future partners to”. Leave them in the dust beneath your feet. Leave them in quick sand, sinking as they watch you grow taller. Leave them wishing they’d realised what they had when they were with you. One day, you’ll find someone who appreciates every little piece of you - and when you do, you will understand why it never worked out with anyone else.
